Well if you have made it this far I guess you want to know a little bit about me. Okay this is what I can tell you. Born in 1971, grew up on the West Coast and had a pretty normal kid-hood. You know horse shows, motorcycle riding and lots of weed picking in the garden!
I have been a full-time glass artist for the past 14ish years. I started sandblasting, mostly corporate awards and architectural pieces, which lead me info some fusing and slumping, mostly slumping. I created many beautiful dishes for my customers and restaurants.
Now I guess I should back track a little and tell you my first lampworking experience was in Las Vegas at the Glass Craft Expo in 1997. I took a beginner lampworking class while killing time in-between my “real job” classes.
Fast forward to April 2004 (confused yet). My Mother emailed me one day and told me she got these great glass beads, from a local artist, and was going to incorporate them into the jewelry that she made. Well the possessive nature in me came out and I decided that I too could make beads – hell I took a class 8 years ago, what’s to know. I immediately dug out my hot head and 8-year-old glass and started torching. Have not looked back since. I am now on a GTT Bobcat with an oxycon with a minor back up with a HH back up.
So I guess I have my Mother to thank for my passion to create beads. I was entirely book-taught until just recently. I was fortunate enough to classes from:

Kimberly Affleck
Kathy Johnson Andrea Guarino-Slemmons Amy Johnson
Janelle Zorko
Along with my lampworked beads I have also created a line of hand-pulled, 96 coe glass cane for other lampworkers. I believe my greatest achievement so far, I am very proud of this glass line. The cane keeps me very busy along with teaching beginner lampworking classes.
I own a wonderful house with a teaching studio, jewellery design area and retail boutique. I spent 4 years away in Alberta and am so happy to be back home. I am single and a slave to a demanding cat, who loves to curl up under my feet as I torch. At the end of my day you can find me out on my deck, usually in my hammock enjoying life.
